Review

Well, apparently I am out of the loop. Apparently there is some guy named Jack Johnson who has been making the rounds in the music avenues... and I just heard of him. Apparently this talented singer-songwriter has been around for some five years, having started out as a filmmaker, as well as writing the scores for those films.

"In Between Dreams" marks his third album and is described as his most musically upbeat yet. He describes the album as both "romantic and nostalgic", and reflecting many of his happier life experiences. It's not hard to find reasons to love this album with songs like "Better Together", which is described as a love song written for his wife, because no matter how hard or deceptive life can be, "it's always better when we're together". With his laidback grooves and hooks, it's easy to forget your own own worries and ease away the stresses of the day with the feeling that you are in the midst of a songwriting genius. Needless to say, I highly recommend the album.
